It rains in Mayo

This project traces a Whitethorn field at the edge of bog and pasture, reading it as both shelter and threshold. Sketches, planting diagrams, and seasonal notes map how hedgerows guide movement, frame borrowed views, and hold rain and wildlife. The accompanying photographs slow the walk along the thorn, studying light on bark, lichen, and fences, and testing how a future landscape might remain protective, porous, and quietly inhabited.
